‘Abbeycrest Team with their shoeboxes’
Several care homes within the Aria Care Group have joined forces with the local community to spread festive cheer by collecting over 600 shoeboxes filled with gifts for Operation Christmas Child, an initiative by charity Samaritan’s Purse.
Operation Christmas Child has been making a global impact since 1993, delivering joy to children in over 170 countries through the distribution of shoebox gifts containing toys, school supplies, and hygiene items.
This year, care homes including Abbeycrest, Galsworthy House, Home of Compassion, Deer Park View, Cranmer Court, Oaken Holt and Huntercombe Hall have actively participated in this heartwarming cause.
Residents, colleagues, and the generous local community have come together to contribute a selection of items. The collective effort has resulted in the assembly of over 600 shoeboxes.
Speaking about the initiative, Sarah Chapman, Director of Sales expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support: “We are thrilled to see the incredible generosity from our residents, colleagues, and the local community. The collaboration to collect over 600 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child exemplifies the spirit of giving and community that is at the heart of Aria Care.”
