What does care from the heart mean to the team at Galsworthy House?
“Care from the heart is the principle that shapes every aspect of our care home. It’s more than just a set of tasks or routines; it’s an commitment to providing our residents with the kind of care we would want for our own loved ones. Care from the heart means that every resident is seen as an individual, with a life rich in experiences, emotions, and stories. It’s about creating an atmosphere where residents feel valued, respected, and truly listened to. Our team not only attend to the physical needs of our residents, but they also take the time to build meaningful relationships and engagements, and provide emotional support.
When our team care from the heart, they continually go above and beyond to ensure that every resident’s dignity is upheld, their preferences are honoured, and their happiness is prioritised. It’s about going that extra mile, whether it’s holding a hand, sharing a smile, or taking a few moments to chat about a resident’s day.”
Ultimately, care from the heart transforms our care home into a place of warmth, trust, and companionship. It’s the essence of why we do what we do, and it’s what sets us apart. Our residents and their families can rest assured that their well-being is at the centre of everything we do, and that’s the heart of our care home.
Keeping Things Personal
The welcoming surroundings at Galsworthy House Nursing Home are matched by the high standard of individual care our colleagues provide to our residents. When you arrive and throughout your stay you’re greeted with warmth, passion, and care and our community is vibrant, happy, and homely.
We love learning as much as we can about who we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual need and interests. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, how they like their tea, and everything about their daily routine. Our team take the time to get to know all our residents and encourage independence and communication.
We are dedicated to providing a smooth transition into a home where care is from the heart and interaction with residents is paramount. Our residents show us the way. They tell us what they need, and we do our very best to deliver. Every element of our care is considered with their needs in mind. Surrounding everyone with familiarity, security and care, we make their experience with us as fulfilling as possible.

Meet the Manager
Mick Newton is our Home Manager at Galsworthy House Care Home, here’s a little bit more about the home in his own words:
“I lead my professional Care Team in delivering the highest level of care and support for our residents. My commitment to professional development has equipped me well for my role here, where I work hard to ensure that those in my care lead happy and fulfilling lives, whilst maintaining choice over the care and support they receive.
I believe in maintaining strong relationships with residents and their relatives, and understand the important contribution that these relationships make to the successful running of a care home.
I feel that the Aria Care philosophy matches up well with my own beliefs on care provision and I am committed to ensuring that all our residents continue to receive the high levels of care and protection they deserve.”
