Meet the Manager
Pete is our Home Manager at Huntercombe Hall Care Home, here’s a little bit more about the home in his own words:
“I trained in Community Drama and was at the National Youth Theatre with Daniel Craig in 1988. Since then I have managed two GP surgeries, an outpatient unit and an Acute Psychiatric Hospital before moving into residential care.
Huntercombe Hall is a wonderful home from home with a fascinating history and a wide range of activities and facilities. There is an energetic and compassionate team working with me to deliver the highest standards of residential, dementia, nursing and palliative care. As Home Manager I will be supporting my team and ensuring their professional development and personal wellbeing.
I want to be a familiar face out and about at Huntercombe Hall and will be actively involved in providing activities and care for all our residents. We are really fortunate to have such extensive and beautiful grounds and it is well documented what a positive impact being outdoors can have on everyone’s mental wellbeing so I will be working with the staff and residents to make sure we are making the most of those opportunities.
I live locally and as a child my family was stationed at RAF Benson for some time so know the area well. My wife delivers work-based learning to schools across the South of England and we have three children and a therapy dog (in training) who I hope to see at Huntercombe Hall working with the residents once she is qualified.”
