Welcome to Tall Trees

If a quiet rural setting in the heart of the rolling Cotswold countryside appeals then Tall Trees care home could well be for you. With an idyllic setting overlooking the village cricket ground, this home-from-home caters for all levels of care, on both a permanent and respite basis. Residential care, nursing care, and care for those living well with dementia, Tall Trees is a choice that means you never have to move again regardless of how your circumstances change.

Tall Trees is a modern and stylish care home built from local mellow Cotswold stone, situated on the edge of the charming village of Chipping Norton and not far from Stow-on-the-Wold, Burford and Moreton-in-Marsh. There’s even a piano for any resident who still likes to tinkle the ivories!

A wonderful lifestyle is provided by engaging daily activities, plus outings to explore the surrounding countryside, visiting local attractions such as the historic Blenheim Palace or enjoying the local pubs, garden centres and charming Cotswold towns nearby.

Our team take the time to get to know all our residents and encourage independence and communication.

We are dedicated to providing a smooth transition into a home where care is from the heart and interaction with residents is paramount. Our residents show us the way. They tell us what they need, and we do our very best to deliver. Every element of our care is considered with their needs in mind. Meet the Manager

Julie is our Home Manager at Tall Trees, here’s a little bit more about the home in her own words:

“I have been working in the care sector for nearly 40 years and started my working life with a part-time job in a care home when studying for my A’levels. I had planned to go to university to study journalism, but after my experience in my part-time role, I decided this was my career path. I travelled around a lot as my husband was in the army, so had jobs in multiple residential homes, working my way up from Carer, to Senior Carer, to Deputy Home Manager. I have held nine Home Manager positions, the last two being for nursing homes.

As Home Manager everything I do and am responsible for centres around the wellbeing and welfare of my residents and staff. I must ensure that we comply to all relevant governance and that our care is the highest standard it can be. I feel that the best part of my job is making a small difference to someone’s life every day.

I believe that no single person is less important than another and that all roles and functions within our home are equally integral to achieve outstanding care. Everyone within my team give 110%.

Care from the heart, is exactly what it says. Everyone that we are responsible for, we treat them as if they are a member of our family, which indeed they are! We are passionate about the work and believe in improving the lives of our residents.

My biggest achievement so far has been taking my first nursing home I managed from inadequate to good. I have four grown-up children and seeing them all so self-sufficient and independent, also gives me a great sense of achievement.

I love to spend time with my family, which now includes five grandchildren. I also really enjoy long walks with my dog and reading whenever I can. The location of Tall Trees is very pretty and quiet, with plenty of greenery and wildlife surrounding us.”
