Residential Care

Supporting your loved one to maintain their independence in our residential care homes.

An introduction to Residential Care

Is your loved one still very independent but perhaps feeling that they’ve had enough of cooking, cleaning and laundry? They may have reached a point where they are struggling to live happily. Are they lonely living in their own home and would love to make friends? Perhaps they’ve had a few falls, or are finding it harder to wash or dress than they used to?

When you are looking to find a care home for elderly people, residential care is often the ideal choice in these scenarios. Your loved one is free to make new friends and enjoy a variety of activities and outings with the peace of mind of knowing that support is on hand 24 hours a day.

What is residential care?

Residential care can be seen as the ‘first step’ in care home support, it can be short term or long term, enabling an older person to continue living independently as possible but with additional tailored round-the-clock support.

Our team will work with you and your loved one to understand your loved one’s needs and how they want to live their life. We’ll then create a tailored care plan to enable your loved one to continue to live their life to the full and independently – yet with a little more help, perhaps with washing and dressing, oral care or mobilising and keeping active.

Whether your loved one is living with a disability but isn’t yet in need of nursing care, or they’ve fallen one too many times at home, we’re here to provide residential care support in safe, comfortable surroundings.
