What is Nursing Care?
Nursing care homes give residents the medical support and care they need to live their best life.
Our expert and experienced Registered General Nurses (RGNs) and care teams help residents with daily activities, medical needs, and keeping them comfortable and safe. This enables them to lead the lifestyle they desire, safe in the knowledge that a qualified team is there to support them when required.

What does nursing care involve?
The main difference between residential care and nursing care is the level of support residents receive when it comes to their health. Nursing care involves more personalised health tasks and management of their medications. But no matter what type of care your loved one requires, we make sure to personalise their care plan to fit their unique needs, and preferences.
We take the time to get to know each resident and offer the care and support they need and want. We pay attention to all the little details, from their health needs to how they like their tea and what time they prefer to wake up in the morning.
Nursing care includes a wide range of services, including stroke care, tracheotomy care, management of complex continence needs, catheter and stoma care. It also supports many acute and acquired neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease and learning difficulties
Can I still visit my relative in a nursing home?
Regardless of your loved one’s care needs, you’re always welcome to arrange a visit to the home for a cup of tea, a Sunday roast or you’re even welcome to join in with supporting their care needs too.
How do I find a nursing home?
Visit our Find a Home page and easily search for your nearest Aria Care Home by entering your location.
Many of our homes offer both residential and nursing care. If someone is currently in need of personal care but may require nursing care in the future, it may be worth considering a care home that offers both options. This way, as their needs change, they won’t have to move and can receive the care they need in the same comfortable and familiar surroundings.
