Wytham House Care Home, is situated within the Oaken Holt Estate in Oxfordshire, just a few miles to the West of Oxford, close to the Farmoor Reservoir, and within easy reach of Witney and Kidlington, in the grounds of Oaken Holt Nursing and Residential Home
Wytham House offers residential dementia care and nursing dementia care centred on providing a safe environment in beautiful surroundings. If you look outside the window you will see rabbits, foxes, deer, pheasant and a range of birds, which all our residents love.
Life at Wytham House is different and enjoyable every day. A mixture of activities are held to cater to all resident’s needs. The home has visits from a range of entertainers and exercise groups to enable our residents to live enriched lives and stay as active as possible.

Daily life at Wytham House
At Aria Care, we take a genuine interest in you and the way you like spending your time. This means we can tailor your time with us and make sure it’s every bit as enjoyable as life has always been. - Homecooked meals with your fellow residents are enjoyed in our comfortable dining rooms.

We love learning as much as we can about who we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual need and interests. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, how they like their tea, and everything about their daily routine. Our team take the time to get to know all our residents and encourage independence and communication.
We are dedicated to providing a smooth transition into a home where care is from the heart and interaction with residents is paramount. Our residents show us the way. They tell us what they need, and we do our very best to deliver. Every element of our care is considered with their needs in mind. Meet the Manager
Julie is our Home Manager at Oaken Holt Nursing and Residential Home and Wytham House Care Home, known collectively as the Oaken Holt Estate, here’s a little bit more about herself and the home in her own words:
“I have been working in the care sector for nearly 40 years and started my working life with a part-time job in a care home while studying for my A-levels. I had planned to go to university to study journalism, but after my experience in my part-time role, I decided this was my chosen career path. I travelled around a lot as my husband was in the army, so jobs in multiple residential homes, working my way up from Carer, to Senior Carer, to Deputy Home Manager and then Home Manager.
As Home Manager everything I do and am responsible for centres around the wellbeing and welfare of my residents and staff. I feel that the best part of my job is making a small difference to someone’s life every day. I believe that no single person is less important than another and that all roles and functions within our home are equally integral to achieve outstanding care. Everyone within my team gives 110%. We are passionate about the work and believe in improving the lives of our residents.
The location of Oaken Holt Estate is very pretty and quiet, with plenty of greenery and wildlife surrounding us. I would welcome any new families looking for care to come and to see our home and meet the team.”

Mondays Bingo session at the Friendship club this takes place every Monday at the catholic church just in front of us ,our residents rather like going here hoping to win .
But it’s not just about winner ,it’s a friendly place to enjoy a chat and some different company .

Yesterday were went down to the Dementia choir , our residents throughly enjoy this .

Today it was Colin C birthday, we had a nice walk up town to do some shopping , then he came back to this lovely cake made by our chefs . Happy Birthday Colin xx
