Life at Moorlands is a loving, friendly and welcoming atmosphere where residents, the team, and visitors are treated with dignity and respect at all times. We endeavour to make our residents and the team feel happy and pride ourselves on the meaningful interactions between residents. We celebrate diversity and encourage inclusion, celebrating the lives of our residents and promoting independence where possible.
We have great success stories of residents who have regained good health whilst being at Moorlands and subsequently gone back home to be with their families. It is always our goal to make our community a compassionate and caring environment for residents who are being treated for end-of-life pathways and offer support to their families during those difficult times.

Daily life at Moorlands Nursing Home
At Aria Care, we take a genuine interest in you and the way you like spending your time. This means we can tailor your time with us and make sure it’s every bit as enjoyable as life has always been. With round-the-clock care and support, dining experiences and stimulating activities, you’ll soon be calling us “home”.
Morning
- A cup of tea and a smile welcomes you every single morning.
- Enjoy some gentle exercise in our chair exercise classes each week.
- Our team provide a wonderfully nutritious breakfast to set you up for the day.
Afternoon
- Green-fingered residents are welcome to help keep our gardens looking good.
- Have a relaxing time watching your favourite movie during our film afternoons.
- Homemade afternoon teas to enjoy with family and friends.
Evening
- After a delicious dinner, you’ll find our residents enjoying an after-dinner drink.
- Fun, laughter, and chatter with fellow residents fill the rooms most evenings.
- Seasonal events including, autumn cheese and wine evenings and summer BBQs.

The welcoming surroundings at Moorlands Nursing Home are matched by the high standard of individual care our colleagues provide to our residents. When you arrive and throughout your stay you’re greeted with warmth, passion, and care and our community is vibrant, happy, and homely.
We love learning as much as we can about who we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual need and interests. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, how they like their tea, and everything about their daily routine. Our team take the time to get to know all our residents and encourage independence and communication.
We are dedicated to providing a smooth transition into a home where care is from the heart and interaction with residents is paramount. Our residents show us the way. They tell us what they need, and we do our very best to deliver. Every element of our care is considered with their needs in mind. Surrounding everyone with familiarity, security and care, we make their experience with us as fulfilling as possible.

“I really enjoy getting to know the residents and working with the team to make Moorlands the best place to live and work.”
My name is Rita Aujla and I am the Home Manger at Moorlands Nursing Home. I have over 20 years people management and training experience, with 12 years spent in the care sector. I have successfully managed care homes and a flagship clinic in the heart of London. I have a passion for creating, developing, and leading great teams to success and making the environment a pleasant one, where people love coming to work.
Moorlands is a wonderful home from home with a wide range of activities and facilities. I really enjoy getting to know the residents and working with the team to make Moorlands the best place to live and work. I want to make our home the best it can be for our resident experience and also a great place to work for our wonderful colleagues. I want to be a familiar face out and about at Moorlands and will be actively involved in getting to know all our residents.
I like to build links with our exciting and diverse community to build awareness of the developments at the home and how they too can be a part of our successful journey.
I was born in Ealing, West London and my heritage is mixed – my mother is East African and my father Indian. They both came to the UK in the 1970s, where they met and had me and my siblings. I am married and have a son who is 12, going on 21! I love music and have produced and ghost-written songs for some celebrities. I love animals, watching car crash TV and travelling. My door is always open, and I look forward to meeting you all in person, Rita.
