We support and encourage as much independence as possible, providing individual choice in such things as joining others in the dining room or in front of the TV for meals, or even with helping with daily life in our friendly community. We’ll also help them to personalise their own room with the things they love, so it truly is home-from-home.

I recenty visited a relative at Kingsclear and was really impressed by the Care Home. The staff were very attentive and caring, the property was very clean and well presented and all of the residents seemed to be very relaxed and comfortable.

Most importantly, I was able to walk away feeling really happy that my relative enjoyed being there and was receiving an excellent level of care.

My mum spent two weeks respite here and thoroughly enjoyed it .Spotlessly clean,friendly and welcoming.The staff are very friendly and helpful making mum feel very relaxed.A good choice of a well cooked varied menu.overall a very enjoyable experience for mum and peace of mind for me

From my first visit I felt such a warm and happy atmosphere, the residents and staff were doing a crossword puzzle they were all enjoying this, the bedrooms we were shown are spacious, well decorated and really quite lovely, every one I met said hello and welcome which made me feel comfortable
When my mum is ready for residential care Kingsclear is definitely where I wish mum to live

Meet the Manager

Robert is our Home Manager at Kingsclear Care Home, here’s a little bit more about himself and the home in his own words:

“I enjoy my daily walk rounds and getting the opportunity to see and chat with our residents, seeing them smile and make new friends.

I have worked in care since I was 18 when I started as a domiciliary carer and stayed in this form of care for over eight years where I progressed through various roles including supervisor and management roles. Within this time, I also passed my Level 5 in Health and Social Care Management.

In 2020 I joined Kingsclear as the Dementia Unit Manager, before being promoted to Deputy Manager and am proud to now be Home Manager, all roles have given me the opportunity to offer stability to the people living in our community and my colleagues.

The local area is lovely and it is important to us that our home is part of the local community, we always look forward to going out and welcoming the community into our home.”
