Moorlands Nursing Home celebrates Rebecca’s 15-year milestone

Recently at Moorlands Nursing Home in Lightwater, the team celebrated a huge milestone for Nurse Rebecca on her 15th work anniversary.

Joining the team in 2009, Rebecca has always embraced her role with a commitment to bringing warmth and expertise to every moment she shares with the residents. She said, “it’s the privilege of being part of people’s lives during their most vulnerable moments that makes me passionate about my role. It’s an honour to make a meaningful difference in their experiences.”

Reflecting on the previous 15 years at the home, Rebecca commented “the team I work with has become like family, creating a supportive environment that enhances the care we provide together. I’ve been here so long that I often think I could write a book filled with unforgettable stories perhaps ‘Nursing Shenanigans: Tales from the Care Front’. My time at Moorlands is rich with memorable moments that blend laughter and love.”

When asked what ‘Care from the Heart’ means to her, she replied “it means treating every resident as if they were my own family. It’s about being a listening ear, a hand to hold, a shoulder to lean on, and a hug good night. A simple smile can truly brighten someone’s day.”

As she celebrates this milestone, Rebecca said that she is reminded of the profound impact dedicated caregivers have on the lives of others.
