Residents and colleagues at Ferfoot Care Home in Chippenham came together to celebrate a milestone for one of their team members, Sema who has been in a caring role at the home for 5 years.
Maurice a resident at the home took the opportunity to present her with some flowers, presents and her certificate to mark the occasion, he had a little tear or two as he did this. When she was asked what she loves about her role she said that meeting with the residents, spending time with them and seeing them smile makes it all worthwhile.
Her most treasured memories are getting to know the life stories of the people in our community that she cares for and also their family members, as well as being grateful to be able to make a change in their lives.
Sema is currently undertaking her second year of a Health and Social Care degree and would love to do her placement at Ferfoot next year, she is looking forward to progressing and can think of no better place then here to do that.
Home Manager Roxana Boldeanu said “Sema has a smile on her face everyday no matter what, the residents love her and she is always willing to support the team where needed.”
