Receptionist celebrates 15 years at Tall Trees

Tall Trees long service award Jo Phillips

At Tall Trees Care Home in Chipping Norton, we are celebrating our wonderful receptionist, Jo’s 15-year work anniversary.

Jo plays a fundamental role in our team that goes beyond managing reception and administrative tasks – she is the point of contact for all visitors and new residents, developing relationships with families and ensuring people feel welcome and supported. She takes a lot of enjoyment in her role, meeting and greeting visitors and showing people around the home amongst many other responsibilities – every day is different.

Jo commented, “The main thing that I enjoy is meeting people and making a difference to someone, each day. There are always challenges with working in care, but loving your job means that you always try your best and I must love it to have stayed for so long!”

When asked what ‘Care from the Heart’ means to her, Jo answered, “it is giving your best every day, because the effort is worth it. When you care from the heart, it makes every guest, resident and visitor feel valued and at home.”

Clarissa, home manager at Tall Trees, presented Jo with her Long Service award to congratulate her on a huge milestone and commented on her dedication – “Jo shows such a high level of dedication and professionalism every single day, and nothing is too much trouble for her. Colleagues, residents and relatives appreciate her personal touch, reliability, kindness and warmth and Tall Trees would not be the same without her!”
