Dancing with Pride: A Joyful Celebration at Oaklands House

Celebrating Pride Month with Colour, Joy and Togetherness at Oaklands House

Oaklands House was proud to mark Pride Month with a vibrant celebration that brought residents and team members together for a joyful day of music, dancing, and heartfelt reflection.

The home came alive with rainbow colours and uplifting energy as staff dressed in bright, themed outfits, setting the scene for a lively disco complete with a dazzling multicoloured disco ball and a soundtrack of feel-good classics. Laughter, singing, and dancing filled the air, creating a truly inclusive atmosphere where everyone felt the joy of community and belonging.

While Pride is a time of celebration, it is also a meaningful opportunity to honour the LGBTQ+ community — recognising the ongoing journey towards equality, and standing proudly for love, acceptance, and respect for all.

At Oaklands House, every individual is valued for who they are. Celebrating Pride is one of the many ways the team demonstrates their ongoing commitment to fostering an environment where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and free to be themselves — not just during Pride Month, but every day of the year.
