Magna Spring Fair Success in support of Forest Holme Hospice

Magna Spring Fair

The residents and team at Magna Care Centre in Wimborne hosted a vibrant Spring Fair on Saturday 3rd May in support of their local charity Forest Holme Hospice. The day was a great success with the sun shining and the atmosphere buzzing with joy, as local businesses teamed up with Forest Holme volunteers to create a truly special day filled with fun, connection and community spirit

There were a range of stalls from “Guess the weight of the cake” to skin cosmetics, arts and crafts, glitter tattoos as well as raffles and tombolas for everyone to get involved in and enjoy, which was wonderful to see, along with singer Lizzie Briscoe who set the party tone with her fun time songs.

Leading up to the event the Magna residents spent time making decorative bee stones and created bookmarks for people to buy, which proved popular on the day and Sally, Head Housekeeper made and donated a stunning bee themed cake for the occasion.

Kayleigh Frulli, home manager commented on the day, “A heartfelt thank you and huge well done to our wonderful Wellbeing Lead Coordinator Claire and dedicated volunteer Shirley for their hard work in organising the event. Also a special mention to our amazing Magna residents for your creative ideas and fantastic stall contributions, we also want to thank our amazing local community for their support and kindness in joining us for the event”.

Shirley Worner, link volunteer at Forest Holme Hospice commented “the atmosphere was brilliant and the whole event was so well attended, we’re so thrilled with the amount raised and want to thank everyone that attended and everyone who supported and contributed and helped make the event such a huge success.”

Thanks to everyone’s generosity on the day an incredible £1,075 was raised for Forest Holme Hospice, who make a difference to local families in need of life-enhancing care at the most difficult time of their lives. With their hospice providing palliative and end of life care to over 1,000 people and their families each year across Poole, Wimborne and the Purbecks. The home are looking forward to presenting the donation in the near future.
