At Magna Care Centre in Wimborne we understand the importance of supporting residents to maintain links with their local communities. That’s why we play an active part in our community. We hold events throughout the year, and work closely with groups, schools and charities to ensure residents continue to enjoy a rewarding social life, and the chance to make new friends and try new things.
Our aim is to put a focus on the community. We want to boost morale and encourage neighbourly togetherness as well as to improve health and wellbeing in the district. Below are details of our upcoming events:

Chitter Chatter Club
Date: First and Third Saturday of the month
Time: 10am – 12pm
Come along to our regular event and meet our residents, colleagues and people from around the local community, a chance to get together have a chat, share stories and make friends, all while enjoying a cuppa and cake.

Fish and Chip Friday
Date: Second Friday of every month
Time: From 12.30pm
Come along and dine with us, enjoy traditional fish and chips at our home. We look forward to welcoming you.

Knitter Knatter with us
Date: Third Wednesday of the month
Time: from 2pm
Join us here at Magna Care Centre for our monthly Knitter Knatter club, supported by Lesley Shand Funeral Services and run by community associate Wendy. Lots of cake and light refreshments for everyone to enjoy.

Wreath-Making and Christmas Gift Stalls
Date: Friday 6th December
Time: 6pm – 8pm
Join us for a Christmas wreath-making class, warm mince pies, and drinks. There will also be Christmas stalls with local businesses selling handmade gifts.
