Welcome to Magna

Magna Care Centre is situated in a quiet location just to the south of Wimborne Minster, within a short drive of both Poole and Bournemouth.

Standing in over five acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, complete with water features, statues and exotic plants, it’s a great place for residents to take a stroll, enjoy an afternoon tea, or receive visiting family and friends.

Life at Magna truly embodies the spirit of community. We take great pride in fostering a relaxed and joy-filled environment. Our residents and their families are at the heart of everything we do, ensuring we create a space that feels like a home from home. This dedication to our community’s wellbeing makes Magna a place where warmth and care flourish.

The Magna community cherishes its beautiful grounds, actively engaging in gardening and making the most of shared knowledge among residents. Every year we produce our own fruits, vegetables and herbs which are used in the Magna kitchen. We also grow our own flowers from seed, decorating the grounds.

Caring from the heart means just that, in every action you take, in every delivery of care, in every conversation you have ensuring that you are giving your whole self in a true, empathetic and honest manner. This creates a trustful and respectful bond between relatives, residents and me. Recognising that each resident has a unique style of how they want to be cared for and interacted with, we believe when you care from the heart you are able to adapt your style to deliver a person-centred approach that leaves the resident feeling uplifted and seen as an individual.

We’re thrilled to share our newest refurbishment at our care home in Wimborne with day spaces and bedrooms being transformed throughout the home. Showcasing tasteful colour palettes to the thoughtfully chosen furnishings which balance comfort, elegance and functionality. The day spaces project a sense of community and foster social engagement, while private living spaces provide a serene sanctuary for the people who live in our community.

Daily life at Magna Care Centre

At Aria Care, we take a genuine interest in you and the way you like spending your time. This means we can tailor your time with us and make sure it’s every bit as enjoyable as life has always been. Our caring team ensure everyone has had a restful night and are ready for the day ahead.

A home from home environment, to enjoy past hobbies, which includes baking and cooking.
Our salons and barbers are filled with laughter and fun while our residents get pampered.

Gatherings and parties to celebrate important dates, with families and friends invited to join in and spend precious time together.
Homecooked meals with your fellow residents are enjoyed in our comfortable dining rooms.

The welcoming surroundings at Magna Care Home are matched by the high standard of individual care our colleagues provide to our residents. When you arrive and throughout your stay you’re greeted with warmth, passion, and care and our community is vibrant, happy, and homely.

We love learning as much as we can about who we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual need and interests. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, how they like their tea, and everything about their daily routine. Our team take the time to get to know all our residents and encourage independence and communication.

We are dedicated to providing a smooth transition into a home where care is from the heart and interaction with residents is paramount. Our residents show us the way. They tell us what they need, and we do our very best to deliver. Every element of our care is considered with their needs in mind. Surrounding everyone with familiarity, security and care, we make their experience with us as fulfilling as possible.

Magna care centre is a beautiful fashionable home from home where all residents are connected and enjoy each others company. I think it’s because Claire the events organiser is so much fun and the community she has built is wonderful.
The food and cakes look amazing alongside the staff. They are super friendly and know all the residents personally.

Homely and welcoming. The care given to my Mom during her stay I cannot fault, all staff and residents I met were happy to be there and I could feel that.
I cannot rate Magna Care Centre highly enough…I would book myself in when the need arises

I have been teaching yoga at this this charming care home for a year and I am so impressed with the care I see on every visit.
My own mum did not come here but I so wish she had. There is never a dull moment for those who want and enjoy the full packed timetable of great activities. All delivered with kindness, understanding and respect. It’s wonderful to see and hear the ready humour and stimulating conversation and so importantly, the respect for the individuality of every resident. This is , I believe key to the best care available.
I look forward to my regular visits because it is such a very happy and calming place , for all.

Meet the Manager

Kayleigh is our Home Manager at Magna Care Centre, here’s a little bit more about herself and the home in her own words:

“I lead a professional team in providing the highest standards of residential and nursing care for our residents with varying needs. During my early career, I gained a breadth of medical knowledge, including intensive, elderly and stroke care. With over 9 years working at Magna Care Centre as a Registered Nurse and then as Deputy Manager I bring experience and knowledge of the residents, families and local community to my role.

I am passionate about ensuring residents have dignified and respectful care and enriching their lives with social interaction. If I can make a difference to just one person a day it makes my job worthwhile.

Magna is a relaxed home-from-home. The calm and welcoming atmosphere is down to the fantastic caring team that supports me. Nothing is ever too much and they are always ready to go the extra mile when needed, an absolute credit to me, our home and company.”
