Gildawood Court attend Bedworth Armistice Day

gildawood court remembrance day

The residents of Gildawood Court Care Home in Attleborough attended Bedworth Armistice Day Parade, a yearly tradition that unites the surrounding communities in a tribute to the fallen.

The locals are very proud of this parade and the parade committee always go the extra mile to make it a special day. Military soldiers, veterans and cadets marched through Bedworth Town Centre as poppies rained down on the streets from poppy cannons.

It was a very special day for resident, Allan, who served in the forces. As the crowd joined in unison to sing hymns together, it was a touching moment as Allan sang along with such pride.

A day of singing and praying, some wonderful speeches, laying of wreaths and a brass band performance was wrapped up perfectly with a lovely buffet, compliments of the Bedworth Ex-servicemen. The residents and team of Gildawood Court were moved and humbled to be part of such a beautiful service.
