Our latest events

At Galsworthy House Nursing Home we understand the importance of supporting residents to maintain links with their local communities. That’s why we play an active part in our community. We hold events throughout the year, and work closely with groups, schools and charities to ensure residents continue to enjoy a rewarding social life, and the chance to make new friends and try new things.

Our aim is to put a focus on the community. We want to boost morale and encourage neighbourly togetherness as well as to improve health and wellbeing in the district. Below are details of our upcoming events:

Parkinson’s Awareness Talk
Date: Wednesday 23rd July
Time: 3pm – 4pm

Join us for an opportunity to learn more about Parkinson’s with Arthur Hookway, chairman of the Sutton, Kingston & Epsom Parkinson’s Group.

Bike Marking Event with Kingston Police
Date: Monday  4th August
Time: 4pm – 5pm

Join us as Kingston Metropolitan Police visit Galsworthy House to offer free bike marking and registration. Officers will apply tamper-resistant QR code labels to help deter theft and make bike recovery easier. It only takes a few minutes and adds lasting protection!

Galworthy’s Got Talent
Date: Saturday 16th August
Time: 2pm – 5pm

At Galsworthy House, this exciting talent show brings everyone together for an uplifting afternoon of performances, all in support of raising money for Marie Curie, The Care Workers’ Charity, and Care Rights UK. We’d love to invite you to join us and be part of the fun!

Understanding Dementia with Michele Saunders
Date: Thursday 18th September
Time: 6pm – 8pm

Hear from Michele Saunders, our very own dementia specialist, to learn more about dementia, how to care for and support someone living with it, and have a chance to ask questions. A selection of cheese and wine will be available for you to enjoy.

Carers Café
Date: Third Wednesday of each month
Time: 10am – 12pm

Join us every month for a free cup of tea, coffee, or a slice of cake. It’s a great chance to socialise, get out of the house, and meet new people.
