Welcome to Rectory House
Rectory House Nursing Home is situated in the small and friendly village of Sompting in North Worthing, set between the popular local coastline and the South Downs. We are proud to have been regional finalist winners in the Great British Care Awards 2023, for the Social Care Nurse Award.
The residents at Rectory House have plenty of opportunities to access the community and to participate in local groups and events. We take pride in our community links and often have groups from the community to use our big lounge for events and celebrations, in which the residents join in.
The well-being of our residents is at the core of everything we do at Rectory House. With us, they feel a sense of community and support, and they are involved in all activities and events. On a normal day, a resident might enjoy time in the communal areas joining the Breakfast Club, or playing board games and cards with other residents and the team, as well as participating in reminiscing and music therapy.
What does care from the heart mean to the team at Rectory House?
“Fundamentally, we believe that care from the heart is about enabling and providing high-quality care that is tailored to each individual. It is important to us that our residents and loved ones have a sense of consistency and assurance in the standard of care they receive. This is grounded in our resident centric approach, recognising the resident as an individual and developing a relationship with them that allows us to develop the care provided based on their experiences and perspectives. We are people looking after people; caring for them, and driving and inspiring them to influence high standards of care. Our approach is simple: the promotion of the wellbeing of our residents, their relatives, and our colleagues.”
Enjoy a festive stay

Hospitality From the Heart
We ensure our residents are at the heart of everything we do and each and every one of our communities feels like home. This extends to our hospitality offering.

Keeping Things Personal
The welcoming surroundings at Rectory House Nursing Home are matched by the high standard of individual care our colleagues provide to our residents. When you arrive and throughout your stay you’re greeted with warmth, passion, and care and our community is vibrant, happy, and homely.
We love learning as much as we can about who we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual need and interests. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, how they like their tea, and everything about their daily routine. Our team takes the time to get to know all our residents and encourage independence and communication.
We are dedicated to providing a smooth transition into a home where care is from the heart and interaction with residents is paramount. Our residents show us the way. They tell us what they need, and we do our very best to deliver. Every element of our care is considered with their needs in mind. Surrounding everyone with familiarity, security and care, we make their experience with us as fulfilling as possible.
I strongly feel that the staff at Rectory House are doing the best for my father and putting him at the centre of decision- making, and that has helped him, my mum and the wider family.
Thank you to everyone there.
