Winners announced in Bake From The Heart competition

In Aria Care’s annual ‘Bake From The Heart’ competition, our communities and the people they care for came together to showcase their baking skills and creativity to craft the perfect Christmas cake.

We received an array of delectable and imaginative entries, the competition was so close that we had not one, but two winners!

The winners were Oak Manor and Mount Pleasant! And a big well done to our runners up Bradbury House and Southlands Place!

Oak Manor. Made by Head Chef Jocelyn, and supported by their wonderful residents.

Everyone at Mount Pleasant got involved with stirring the winning cake mixture and making a wish!
Bradbury House shared their cake with friends and family at their Christmas party.
Not one, but THREE cakes were made at Southlands Place!
Abbeycrest’s Christmas cake was created using a time-honoured recipe that had been handed down through the generations.
Beechwood Park kept to the festive theme with their snow-globe design!
At Brook House, residents got involved with coming up with designs for their cakes.
For everyone at Coppice Lea, the ageless tradition of having a slice of beautiful Christmas cake with family and friends is timeless.
The residents at Gildawood Court opted for a fairy themed Christmas cake!
Everyone at Home of Compassion were proud of their four cakes to be enjoyed over Christmas!
Ivy Court had fun making their Christmas cake while listening to Christmas songs and reminiscing about making the cake with their mothers when they were children. 
Marchglen resident Jennifer chose to bake a snowman as it reminded her of fond memories as a child at Christmas. 
Rectory House chose a snowy scene for their Christmas cakes!
At Scoonie House, the team and residents enjoyed tasting their cakes with a tipple and some carol singing.
Walstead Place opted for a chocolate Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer themed Christmas cake!
