Keeping Things Personal
The welcoming surroundings at Ivy Court Care Home are matched by the high standard of individual care our colleagues provide to our residents. We love learning as much as we can about those whom we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual needs, interests and preferences. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, how they like their tea, and everything about their daily routine. Their life history enables us to connect with the life they want to live.
We support and encourage as much independence as possible, providing individual choice in such things as joining others in the dining room or in front of the TV for meals, or even with helping with daily life in our friendly community. We’ll also help them to personalise their own room with the things they love, so it truly is home-from-home.

Meet the Manager
Ovidiu is our Home Manager at Ivy Court – here’s a little bit more about his role at the home in his own words:
“Growing up in Romania and inspired by my mum who worked in the nursing profession, my dream was to become a nurse. After graduating nursing school in 2013, I took the next steps and applied for my first RGN position in the UK. I then progressed to Clinical Lead and Deputy Home Manager, and finally to Home Manager.
I enjoy all aspects of managing a care home, including making it homely for my residents and offering personal care based on individual needs. It is important to me to support my staff to develop and succeed in their roles. I feel very privileged to be in a role which gives me such fulfilment and enables me to bring my knowledge, experience and skills to my team.
Our residents have a wide-range of personal interests and this is reflected in the activities we offer and the personal touches you will find around the home. Our community here is warm and welcoming. I would welcome anyone to come for a tour and I look forward to introducing you to all we have to offer at Ivy Court.”
Meet the Team
Shellon
Deputy Manager
My nursing background has given me the ability to aid my colleagues with various challenges and support each resident in a very personalised way. Seeing the smiles on residents’ faces brings me so much satisfaction and I have found this role very rewarding.
Diana
Wellbeing Coordinator
As wellbeing coordinator, my priorities are providing person-centred care, tailoring activities and encouraging participation. My role goes beyond arranging activities; it is one that can provide people with social interaction, exercise, engagement and a sense of inclusion.
Harriet
Administrator
I’m approachable and proactive in my role which can be very busy but extremely rewarding. I ensure that my team feel they can speak to me about anything and boost morale for everyone to make the home a fun and energetic place to work.
Kerry
Head Chef
My priorities are creating tasty fresh food, ensuring good nutrition and attending to residents’ individual dietary needs. I love my job, mostly for the joy I get seeing happy faces and receiving positive feedback about our food.
Mollie
Community Relations Manager
My role is to understand people’s needs and find the best care for them. So many things bring me joy in my job, from hearing wonderful feedback from families and friends to simply walking in the front door and seeing the residents’ faces every day.
