Ferfoot were delighted to welcome Chippenham Fire Station to the home as part of Firefighters Memorial Day. Residents were shown all the equipment, walked around the fire engine and a few even sat in the engine and had a go with the hose!
Firefighters’ Memorial Day which falls on 4th May, is an important day for all serving and retired firefighters. The day honours the sacrifice of firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty, acknowledging the courage and dedication of generations of firefighters, including those who serve our communities today.
Ferfoot Home Manager, Lian got into the full spirit of the event and even dressed like a firefighter. Chippenham Fire Crew made an amazing exit after their visit – with blues and twos going! A huge thank you to all the fire crew, who created a lot of smiles for all the residents and staff!
Ferfoot has 52 bedrooms, with several rooms enjoying views over the gardens. The home provides residential and residential dementia care on a permanent or short stay basis.
