The residents and team at Ferfoot Care Home in Chippenham enjoyed taking part in Aria in Bloom where we got out in the garden and rolled our sleeves up.
As we head into the warmer months, it’s the perfect time to get into the garden. At Aria Care we believe in the power of teamwork, which is why we launched our Spring into Summer initiative this May, with a ‘One Team Approach’. We understand the importance of making a great first impression so we rallied our teams to work together and get ready for the summer.
Everyone got involved as we took on various projects in both our front and back gardens as well as giving the wooden fencing at the front of our home a coat of paint. Tidying up the landscaping around the water feature at the front as well as potting new plants and baskets.
Then as we headed into the back garden we assembled a greenhouse where we potted various vegetables to grow which will then be used in delicious meals in the future. Planted various pots around the garden and also worked on a wildlife area. Residents at our home enjoy feeding and watching various wildlife so this area encourages birds, bees, butterflies and other animals into the garden – making a haven for our residents as well as wildlife.
The home would like to thank Prangle and Carey Ltd a local community supplier who donated two tons of stone to the home towards their project and it got put to good use! There are still some finishing touches to put in place including the pending delivery of a new water feature which will just add to the already beautiful gardens that the residents will be able to enjoy this summer.
Aria in Bloom will become a yearly activity that everyone across the company will get involved with, helping our homes prepare for the warmer days ahead. Our residents will then be able to enjoy their outdoor spaces and give them and their visitors a beautiful space to unwind.
