In the run up to Christmas, residents have been taking part in Aria Care’s Christmas card competition for the second year running, with everyone getting into the festive spirit and putting their creative skills to the test. The homes have been choosing their winners to submit into the competition and the winning design will feature as Aria Care’s official Christmas card!
Residents at Dormy House Care Home in Sunningdale set up their easels and painted some beautiful festive scenery for their card designs. They also worked together to make a Dormy House Christmas card decorated with messages from everyone involved and submitted into the competition as a team effort.
The team at Southlands Place in Bexhill transformed their cinema room into arts ’n’ crafts galore with a long table of crafty bits for everyone to get creative with. Residents made some lovely cards and the Southlands team joined in, with Wellbeing Lead Alex’s card being put forward for the competition.
Christmas came early at Rendlesham Care Centre in Suffolk as the team and residents gathered together to tuck into some mince pies and work on their festive cards. Home Manager Pearl and the team joined in with the fun and, after looking over everyone’s fantastic designs, the home voted for resident, Brenda Skeet’s card.
Cedar View Care Centre have recently joined the Aria Care group and residents loved the idea of the Christmas card competition. Arts and crafts sessions are a favourite among residents and everyone had a great time working on their Christmas cards. Resident, Poppy, who turned 101 this year, is a talented artist and loves to express her creativity so it was no surprise that her card was voted the winner!
The budding artists at Scoonie House Care Home in Leven put their imaginations to the challenge and had a wonderful afternoon working on their Christmas card designs and all voted for resident, Christina Thomson’s card to submit into the competition.
