Scoonie House Care Home is located in the picturesque seaside village of Leven, next to Buckhaven, and within easy reach of Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy. It offers modern convenience in a converted period property, set in established and wooded grounds adjacent to quiet parkland.
This charming Victorian property provides high-quality residential care, with highly trained care colleagues on hand around the clock to ensure that everyone’s individual needs and preferences are met, whether on a permanent, respite or convalescent care basis.
All bedrooms have ensuite facilities, and spacious and welcoming living spaces are ideal to receive visiting family and friends, as are the landscaped gardens in the summer.
As well as engaging daily activities in the home, there are also trips out to the local shops and places of interest, including the coastline of Largo Bay.

We’re thrilled to share our newest refurbishment at our care home in Leven. Day spaces and bedrooms have been transformed throughout the home. Showcasing tasteful colour palettes to the thoughtfully chosen furnishings which balance comfort, elegance and functionality. The day spaces project a sense of community and foster social engagement, while private living spaces provide a serene sanctuary for the people who live in our community.

Meet the Manager
Melanie is our Home Manager at Scoonie House, here’s a little bit more about herself and the home in her own words:
“I ensure that the residents have the possibility to participate in the day-to-day running of the home to ensure that they get what they need from the home and for the home to ascertain what is important to the residents.
I enjoy developing ways to promote her resident’s rights and responsibilities and providing information, advice and support not only to the residents but also to their families and her staff. As well as creating opportunities for residents to contribute to the local community and access local services giving them a sense of freedom and belonging.
Having been at Scoonie House for a number of years I have a vast knowledge and understanding of our home and residents.”
