The Walstead Place Care Home community were involved in a variety of fun activities through September. These included trips out, musical entertainment and birthday celebrations.
Many of our residents like to venture outdoors and go out on day trips. This can be a great way to socialise with others, stay mobile with a gentle walk and get some fresh air and have a change of scene.
Our residents always enjoy a concert., so everyone had a thoroughly wonderful time singing along with Birdie who came in to entertain us early this month.
Music cheers everyone up and lifts the spirits. Our residents had a great time, transporting them back to yesteryear through music. This can have a hugely beneficial effect bringing back memories of trips to dance halls and special occasions.
September was also a wonderful month to celebrate some birthdays with our lovely residents. We held a celebratory party for both Margaret and Julie, with delicious birthday cakes provided by our fabulous team!
