Celebrating Afternoon Tea Week in Style
In celebration of Afternoon Tea Week, Ivy Court residents, families, and team members gathered together to enjoy a truly delightful occasion filled with laughter, conversation and, of course, delicious treats.
The home’s talented kitchen team prepared a tempting spread of freshly made sandwiches, warm scones, and an assortment of cakes, all accompanied by pots of tea and refreshing cold drinks. The atmosphere was one of warmth and togetherness as everyone came together to savour the simple joy of sharing food.
The afternoon was made possible through the efforts of the team, with Charlotte from Activities extending invitations to family and friends, and Victoria from Hospitality ensuring that every table was beautifully laid and every guest well cared for. Their hard work helped to create a welcoming space where residents and loved ones could relax and enjoy the moment.
The gathering was a wonderful chance for families and friends to spend quality time with their loved ones. As Rosemary, a resident, expressed, “A lovely afternoon.” A family member, TB, added their thanks: “Thank you for your hosting, you worked very hard, the cake was very tasty.”
Smiles, chatter, and the comforting clink of teacups made the day a true celebration of community, friendship, and the special connections that Afternoon Tea Week inspires.
