Roaring 20s: Southlands Place steps back in time for open day

Recently at Southlands Place Care Home in Bexhill-on-Sea, the team and residents hosted a 1920s-themed party for their open day.

From jazz music to black and gold decorations, the team made a fantastic effort to transform the home into a scene from The Great Gatsby. Pulling out all the stops, Home Manager Fiona and wellbeing coordinators Alex and Nikki looked the part, wearing flapper dresses and feather headbands.

The residents, relatives, and guests enjoyed 1920s-themed games and a lovely afternoon high tea which included delicious sandwiches, scones, and cakes.

A family member said, “It was a fantastic afternoon, you all did an amazing job.”
