Some of the residents at Southlands Place Care Home decided to combine their creative talents with their love of gardens and outside spaces. To start off the week some of our residents set about painting some of the garden gnomes that we had made.
Later in the week our Art Club decided to continue the theme and set themselves the task of painting something you would find in the garden. There were some fantastic pictures produced and we will look at how we can add these to the wonderfully painted gnomes to enhance our outside space.
Activity-based care is a key ingredient for our residents to feel engaged and helps socialisation within the home. Arts and crafts activities are a great way to keep hands and minds occupied, as well as providing an outlet for your creative side. Our residents getting creative and making our home bright and colour with their creations!
