Earlier this month, Southlands Place care home in Bexhill-on-Sea enjoyed a performance from Battle Ukulele Group.
When the wellbeing team heard that Ann (the wife of one of our residents) was a part of the Battle Ukulele Group (BUG) they just had to see if they would come along and play for the residents. Ann asked the group expecting only a few of them to come along but to our lovely surprise, she and 14 others volunteered.
Wellbeing Coordinator Nikki said, “we promised tea, biscuits, and lots of happy faces, they promised a great time. Neither disappointed.”
The residents all had a fantastic afternoon, singing and dancing along. Resident Hannah commented, “absolutely wonderful, one of the best performances this year.”
Nikki added, “Thank you BUG, what a brilliant afternoon we had. We really took advantage of what looked like the last day of sunshine for a while. Well done for your brilliant performances and raising money for local charities.”
