Activities galore at Southlands Place Care Home

Day out for residents at Southlands Place Care Home

The residents at Southlands Place Care Home have been busy getting involved in a range of activities and enjoying some trips out in the lovely weather.

Sylvia and other residents at the home have been busy in the garden and they took the time to explore the green house last week to see how everything was coming along, to her delight in the raised beds Sylvia found that her potatoes were ready for harvest, so she took the opportunity to dig them up. She also plucked up some Sweet Peas for her room. Great job!

Baking club at the home has been in full swing with crispy chocolate cakes being made for all to enjoy, Pat and Joyce rolled up their sleeves to make some wonderful sweet treats and it is fair to say they went down a treat. It was lovely to see the fun they had and hear the laughter throughout the home.

There are so many wonderful places to visit locally to the home and a group of residents enjoyed a trip out to Hawkhurst Fish Farm. Where they got the chance to enjoy being by the open water and seeing all the fish as well as taking in all the lovely views. They also took the opportunity to enjoy a refreshment in the cafe on site.
