Rectory House Nursing Home celebrates another ‘Good’ CQC rating

Rectory House Care Home celebrates Good CQC

At Rectory House Nursing Home, our staff and residents have been celebrating after we maintained a ‘Good’ overall rating in a recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection.

Inspecting and evaluating safety and service quality at the home, Rectory House was praised for its “supportive” environment, while relatives and residents felt they were “safe and well looked after”.

A culture of care and respect was observed in the report, with staff showing respectful interactions with the residents. Relatives were also shown to praise the care staff, informing inspectors that “Relatives are always happy. They are very safe here.”

Outlined in the report inspectors found that staff spoke positively about the running of the home by sharing comments such as “I get on with the manager well. She has a very difficult job, she deals with us and manages the workforce. I have no complaints.”

Speaking on the CQC rating, Rectory House deputy manager, Larisa Stoica, said: “We are so pleased with the results of our recent CQC report. The whole team at Rectory House has worked hard to improve the care we provide, and it was great to see the recognition of how happy our residents are.

“The report has also shown how a culture of care and respect is at the centre of our home, and how the team is always there to support residents and relatives. For the next steps, we have a detailed plan in place to ensure that we continue to build on the report and work continuously to improve safety measures and consistency at the home.

“At Rectory House, we ensure all our team is well trained and attend regular resident-led activities that the whole home will enjoy. It is a privilege to work alongside such a dedicated and kind team that is passionate about delivering the highest quality of care for our residents.”
