Oaklands House Summer Fête Brings Joy, Laughter and Community Spirit
Oaklands House Care Centre’s courtyard was alive with the sound of laughter and the warmth of summer as residents, families, and guests came together for a truly memorable Summer Fête. With a delightful mix of classic games, a sizzling BBQ, fluffy candy floss, freshly popped popcorn, and a variety of community stalls, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Inside the Willow Lounge, the atmosphere was electric as the wonderfully talented entertainer, Jimmy, took to the stage. With songs from across the decades, he had everyone singing, clapping, and dancing along—creating joyful memories and lifting spirits all around.
The vintage café proved to be a favourite retreat, offering a tempting selection of homemade cakes and refreshing drinks—perfect for a relaxing break amidst the festivities.
At Reception, the excitement continued with guests trying their luck at the raffle, bottle stall, lucky dip, and an array of fun-filled activities, each one bringing a smile and a sense of shared celebration.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the generous individuals and local businesses who donated gift vouchers, as well as to the incredible volunteers and dedicated team members whose energy and enthusiasm made the day such a wonderful success.
It was truly a day to remember—full of connection, joy, and the strong sense of community that lies at the heart of Aria Care.
