The residents at Miranda House Care Home in Royal Wootton Bassett recently visited Studley Grange Garden Centre for a lovely afternoon out.
Not only are days out in the community good for residents to socialise, but they’re also a form of nostalgia as they reminisce about their favourite memories.
Activities Lead Lorraine Hilder comments, “I always try and take our residents out, either walking up the town or every other week when we have the minibus, we venture further out. We also like to give resident’s loved ones a chance to join us which is always lovely.”
Joined by the wife of one of our residents, they had a browse, enjoyed a slice of cake and admired the aquatics. Resident Sylvia commented, “oh, it’s been a long time since I came to the garden centre, it’s so nice.” Gloria added, “thank you very much for bringing me today, it’s so nice to get out.”
