Keeping Things Personal

The welcoming surroundings at Miranda House Care Home are matched by the high standard of individual care our colleagues provide to our residents. When you arrive and throughout your stay you’re greeted with warmth, passion, and care and our community is vibrant, happy, and homely.

We love learning as much as we can about who we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual need and interests. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, how they like their tea, and everything about their daily routine. Our team take the time to get to know all our residents and encourage independence and communication.

We are dedicated to providing a smooth transition into a home where care is from the heart and interaction with residents is paramount. Our residents show us the way. They tell us what they need, and we do our very best to deliver. Every element of our care is considered with their needs in mind. Surrounding everyone with familiarity, security and care, we make their experience with us as fulfilling as possible.

Meet the Manager

Mandi Short - Miranda House - Home ManagerMandi is our Home Manager at Miranda House, here’s a little bit more about the home in her own words:

“I have worked in elderly care since 1987 across only five different homes during this time. I have mainly worked with dementia residents during my time in the sector. I enjoy the aspect of moving homes forward with the team, to ensure that our residents have a meaningful and safe environment to live. I believe it is important to make sure that relatives are also part of that journey.

Miranda House is a wonderful home from home with a wide range of activities and facilities. As Home Manager I like to think I bring a sense of stability, professionalism, kindness, understanding and fairness to the home.

I want to be a familiar face out and about at Miranda House and will be actively involved in getting to know all our residents and working with the team to ensure I bring a cohesiveness to the home.

I have lived in Wiltshire since 1985. I volunteer my time at weekends to lead rides for the local cycling club, cycling into different counties each week. In the past I have enjoyed snowboarding, rock climbing and climbing peaks in the French Alps.”

At Miranda House, care from the heart means our great team ensures our residents and relatives are cared for as if they were our own family, always going that extra mile. The team also look after each other, true team work. For us caring is always ensuring you are doing your best for everyone. Giving the time to listen, chat, and being compassionate always.
