Magna Care Home in Wimborne has been undertaking random acts of kindness, first starting in August, involving charity initiatives and getting creative for local organisations.
The home has been making laminated placemats for the home-delivery meal programme ‘Meals on Wheels’ and donating clothes to Oxfam.
Last month, Magna arranged for the Oak Tree Minstrels to surprise Larry, one of our residents. Larry used to sing with the group, and they wanted to give him a special treat.
Magna’s Well-Being Co-Ordinator, Emily Mauger, has been working on the initiative. Emily said: “We have been doing random acts of kindness throughout the months beginning from August and will continue to be an ongoing project. Here at the Magna we like to give back to the community and believe in helping one-another.
Residents are helping Emily decide on which acts of kindness they would like to take part in.
“We thrive off making other people smile and bringing our local community closer together as well as helping those in need.”
