Magna teams up with Men’s Sheds for competition

Magna Care Centre in Wimborne has been named as a runner up in Aria Care’s summer gardening competition.

Aria Care launched the initiative, Aria in Bloom, last year to create sustainable, welcoming and enjoyable outdoor spaces for residents.

Magna Care Centre was chosen as runner up, earning the care home a £100 voucher. The residents, colleagues, and local community joined forces to transform the care home into a vibrant oasis.

The competition was a tremendous success, with all 50 communities participating, creating beautiful, inviting environments for their residents, showcasing truly impressive results.

Magna’s garden saw a remarkable transformation through the collective efforts of the team, residents, and local community. New planters and hanging baskets now brighten the space, creating a cheerful atmosphere.

Home Manager Kayleigh Frulli expressed her joy, “We are so excited and grateful to be selected as runners up. It was a real labour of love as the Magna family joined with members of the local Men’s Sheds Association to transform our courtyard. In keeping with the Spanish feel, we opted for sweet smelling flowers and strong scented herbs within a rockery. We love to tender to them daily and seeing them flourish is so wonderful to watch.”
