Magna Care Centre residents visit Kingston Lacy

Magna Care Centre residents visit Kingston LacyLast week, our residents at Magna Care Centre in Wimborne enjoyed a visit to Kingston Lacy, a 17th-century country mansion. Located in the charming Dorset countryside, the residents enjoyed looking at the historical pieces, beautiful gardens and sprawling acres of land.

Armed with drinks and snacks, Claire, Senior Health and Wellbeing lead, and new Health and Wellbeing Coordinator Carrie, headed out with residents Tony and Joyce for a day full of fun and learning. They were also accompanied by a lovely volunteer called Lisa, whose dad resides at the home. Luckily for the residents and team members, Lisa has visited the National Trust site many times, so she could share lots of information regarding the site.

“Days out are super important to the wellbeing of the residents,” said Home Manager Kayleigh Frulli. “They create friendships in the local community, allow for reminiscing about trips to local attractions whilst visually seeing them, a sense of independence and promote stimulation of all the senses.”

Magna Care Centre provides residential and nursing care on a permanent and short stay basis. If you are looking for a care home and want to find out more about our home call us on freephone 0808 223 5541.
