Recently at Magna Care Centre in Wimborne, the residents celebrated the King’s birthday by hosting a tea party.
To prepare for the big day, the team and residents decorated the home and made a birthday card for the King earlier in the week. Featuring an impressive Union Jack on the front, it was made from buttons kindly donated by resident Joyce.
On the day, the residents invited their little friends from Playdays Childminding to join them. Putting a smile on all of their faces, the children decorated gold crowns with stickers and gave each resident a crown to wear for the special occasion.
A firm favourite amongst the residents (and the King himself), they all enjoyed a slice of fruit cake created by the talented kitchen team.
Not only were they celebrating the King’s birthday, but it was resident Majorie’s birthday too. The team and residents sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to her which made her feel extra special.
Majorie said, “It was a very enjoyable day as it was my birthday too.”
