Residents at L’Hermitage Care Centre had a great time celebrating the Christmas period, opening presents, enjoying Christmas food and even a visit from the jolly fellow himself – Father Christmas, as well as one of his elves!
We all enjoyed opening our presents, which was accompanied by a surprise visit from Santa and his elf before indulging in our delicious Christmas Day lunch. Many of our residents spent the Christmas period relaxing by watching movies, listening to music or having a go at a few brain games. One resident had a go at making a paper candle, which led to a few of our residents spending time enjoying a Christmas crafts afternoon. Whilst some of the other residents took part in a Christmas scavenger hunt!
Everyone had a great couple of days celebrating Christmas. Our team love putting on these type of events for our residents to enjoy. Interaction and engagement through events and activities are essential to the care provided at L’Hermitage, aiding socialisation within the home.
We are all looking forward to more activities happening next year!
