The residents and team at L’Hermitage Care Centre and Beaumont Villa Care Home in St Peter held an event on the 9th May to mark Liberation Day in Jersey.
After completing a military parade in St Helier, The Royal British Legion Bikers and the JMVG rode their motorbikes through to our home. They stopped to have a chat with our residents and colleagues, while giving our residents the opportunity to view some of their vintage and modern motorbikes.
Liza Thomas our wellbeing coordinator organised this as she is a military veteran herself and the British Legion are a large part in her life which she wanted share with everyone at the home.
One of the riders Joe commented “It was a privilege for us to visit your wonderful home and meet your lovely residents.”
