A Joyous Summer Fête at Ivy Court
The sun was shining and spirits were high as Ivy Court welcomed residents, families, friends, and members of the local community for a joyful summer fête that truly celebrated the season.
The event was expertly organised by Diana from the activities team, with wonderful support from staff, residents, and volunteers alike. Val and Ben, dedicated volunteers, kindly gave their time to help the day run smoothly, while the team ensured residents were comfortable and fully included in the festivities.
Guests enjoyed a vibrant mix of entertainment, including a performance from live singer Kyle, whose music brought everyone to their feet. There was plenty of excitement when the local firefighters arrived with their fire engine, delighting both residents and visitors.
Delicious aromas filled the air as the head chef served up a traditional barbecue, perfectly complemented by baked potatoes and chilli prepared by the second chef. For those with a sweet tooth, an ice cream van was on hand to offer a refreshing treat.
The fête also featured a charming array of stalls: Bee Crafty showcased creative handmade items; Violet brought her delightful knitted animals; and resident Maureen proudly sold her hand-knitted scarves. Families and friends donated generously to the tombola, while Glynis offered Avon products and Helen presented her fragrant wax melts.
It was a day built on togetherness, joy, and community spirit — a perfect reflection of the values held dear at Ivy Court and across Aria Care.
“The residents had a great time and enjoyed a day filled with games, stalls, and lively entertainment. It was a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together,” said one team member.
