Residents and staff at Hillview Court Care Home enjoyed a musical bingo session with the Town Break Dementia Support Group.
Our residents thoroughly enjoy a game of bingo and it was great to welcome such a wonderful group into our home. Town Break Dementia Support Group help support people living with dementia and their unpaid carers, using the skills of trained and committed staff and volunteers. Founded in 1992, the Group allows unpaid carers to leave their loved ones safely cared for and enjoy some respite time – which is where the name ‘Town Break’ originated from.
Playing bingo has many health benefits for our residents and helps with listening skills and short-term memory skills. This type of activity-based care also promotes socialisation, which is really important for our residents to maintain a happy and healthy lifestyle.
Hillview Court provides nursing and dementia care on a permanent or short stay basis. If you are looking for a care home and want to find out more about our home call freephone 0808 223 5512.
