Hillview Court named runner up in Aria in Bloom competition

Hillview Court Nursing Home in Sauchie has been named as a runner up in Aria Care’s summer gardening competition.

Aria Care launched the initiative, Aria in Bloom, last year to create sustainable, welcoming and enjoyable outdoor spaces for residents.

Hillview Court Nursing Home was chosen as runner up, earning the home a £100 voucher. Residents, colleagues, and local community joined forces to transform the care home into a vibrant oasis.

The competition was a tremendous success, with all 50 communities participating, creating beautiful, inviting environments for their residents, showcasing truly impressive results.

Hillview Court’s garden saw a remarkable transformation through the collective efforts of the team, residents, and local community. New planters and hanging baskets now brighten the space, creating a cheerful atmosphere. In addition, a sensory garden has been created for the residents who benefit from alternative types of stimulation.

Home Manager Laura Davidson expressed her joy being selected as runner up, “We are absolutely thrilled to be selected as runner up. Everyone worked extremely hard to create a relaxing garden for our residents to enjoy with their families. We look forward to continuing to use our garden for the many activities we have planned in Hillview Court.”
