World Book Day at Gildawood Court

Staff and residents at Gildawood Court went all literary for World Book Day last week. Residents dug out some of their own books and those within the home and took some time to sit down and lose themselves in literary classics and familiar favourites.

Although World Book Day is aimed at schoolchildren, everyone can benefit from getting involved and taking some well-earned time out to get their nose stuck into a good book! Reading a classic that you haven’t read for years, can transport you back in time and evoke memories that have a calming and relaxing influence on our residents.

Gildawood Court has 60 bedrooms, with several of them enjoying views over the delightful, landscaped gardens. The home provides residential dementia care on a permanent or short stay basis.
