Staff and residents at Gildawood Court Care Home celebrated the Platinum Jubilee by throwing a party. The home was decorated with traditional red, white and blue bunting for the occasion. And in honour of Her Majesty, a few Union Jack flags, of course.
Earlier this year Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. This marked her 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.
As part of the celebrations, residents got to enjoy some wonderful live music and had a good dance. They also enjoyed some delicious party food and refreshments made by our own catering team. The residents had a great weekend and really enjoyed themselves.
To celebrate this unprecedented anniversary, events have been taking place across the country and we thoroughly enjoyed being part of those celebrations at Gildawood Court.
