Garth House raises a cup to those affected by cancer

Garth House Care Home fundraise for MacMillan in 2022

Residents and staff from Garth House Care Home joined hundreds of people across the country as they hosted a Macmillan Coffee event to raise funds to support those affected by cancer.

Our Health & Wellbeing Coordinator and one of our residents decorated the lounge with MacMillan bunting and made some posters together. Whilst our chef Glenn and nurse April baked an assortment of lovely cupcakes to be sold on the day to raise funds.

The home often hosts fundraising activities for charitable organisations and hosting a coffee morning is one of the many ways they achieve this. Coffee mornings were also held at a number of other homes across the aria care Group.

Care home manager Eniko said: “We think the Macmillan Coffee Morning is a great way to raise funds in the fight against cancer.

“We’re so pleased that we can get involved and support such a great cause. It’s been wonderful to see our residents come together to have fun over a piece of cake and a cup of tea or coffee, all while raising much needed funds. There was an amazing atmosphere during the event and we are so pleased to have raised £76.20p on the day”.

Garth House provides residential, nursing and dementia care on a permanent or short stay basis. If you are looking for a care home and want to find out more about our home call freephone 0808 223 5507.
