Garth House Care Home in Dorking joined many people across the country as they hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning to raise funds to support those affected by cancer.
A host of sweet treats and hot beverages were on offer for all to enjoy as family and friends joined us to raise money for such a worthwhile cause. There were a number of cakes to sample including cupcakes and sponges.
We were also joined by opera singer Kathleen Linton-Ford who put on a wonderful performance and show for the people living in our community and their visitors.
The home often hosts fundraising activities for charitable organisations and hosting a coffee morning is one of the many ways they achieve this. Coffee mornings were also held at a number of our other communities across the Aria Care group.
The friends and family who came along said how wonderful it was to be able to join in and enjoy the lovely sweet treats.
It was wonderful to see so many people come together to have fun over a piece of cake and a cup of tea or coffee, all while raising much needed funds.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, we are busy topping up the donations and we look forward to seeing you at our next event!
