Residents and staff at Garth House Care Home paid tribute to all nurses and the whole staff team at the home for International Nurses Day.
Celebrated around the world every year on the 12th May, which is the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth. International Nurses Day is a time to reflect and celebrate the outstanding contribution nursing professionals provide to the health service.
This year’s theme was ‘Our Nurses. Our Future’. It set out what they want for nursing in the future in order to address the global health challenges and improve global health for all.
We celebrated with our residents making organic hand soaps for our amazing nurses, as well as lovely cards. Our Head Chef also made some wonderful cupcakes to mark the occasion. Home Manager Eniko and our Administrator Deborah presented the gifts to our delighted nurses.
