This holiday season, Garth House Care Home in Dorking came together to host a festive coffee morning, bringing residents, families, team members and the local community together for a Christmas celebration filled with warmth, laughter, and holiday cheer.
The morning’s success was thanks to the wonderful efforts of the Health & Wellbeing Coordinators, who worked together to festively decorate the home. Meanwhile, the head Chef, Glenn, and his team baked some delicious cakes and presented them beautifully along with some festive spiced drinks.
Everyone had a great morning singing a mix of Christmas carols such as “Jingle Bells”, with special requests from residents, including songs from the 1940s, which brought back fond memories for many.
Resident Maureen shared that she had a wonderful time, especially enjoying spending time with her family and Joyce Kenwood felt deeply moved by the morning’s celebrations, commenting that the singing made her feel like it was already Christmas!
